Wolf and Ghost meet on Halloween night. What starts as a fun relationship turns into an unhealthy one when Wolf's behavior changes, seemingly out of nowhere. Wolf becomes mean and controlling, manipulating Ghost to stay by giving Ghost gifts, candy, and kind words. With each mean action Wolf directs towards Ghost, Ghost starts to fade. The cycle of mistreatment and kindness continues until Ghost decides this is not the life it planned for and must decide on next steps.

This story is told in child-safe language and situations, in a bold, colorful palette. This picture book serves as an introduction to the abuse cycle, whether it be from a domestic partner, friend, family member, or another relationship dynamic.
